Launch Control ?

With all the new pictures floating around from Heather, Number3 and others I still have not seen a button on the dash to engage the launch control. Does anyone have any info on this? I tried to search, but saw nothing by way of a picture, just speculation.

EDIT I removed the multiple ? marks that everyone had somthing to say about

To request launch control, you must use onstar to contact NASA and request countdown status...

If it is like the Vettes, I believe you just have to cycle the traction control button to the appropriate driving mode and let her rip.

y'all're hilarious! too bad i'm deleting OnStar

really, i would imagine it's in one of the DIC menus, but it would be easier to just have a button.

hopefully this won't blow our transmissions like some other epic failure of a car

I don't know how you engage the launch control....I simply couldn't resist responding to a thread with 15 question marks in the title.

Now, does anyone know what it does???????????????(don't count, it's 15) I believe a friend with an HHR explained that it sets the optimum RPM (not selectible?) even though the accelerator is floored, and controls fuel flow for a few monents after launch so max power is not immediately sent to the tires. Correct?

EDIT: There were 15, I swear!

if the launch control is any thing like the one in my cobalt it will be a waste of time. unless you like burn outs. all the cobalt does with it either massive wheel hop or a huge burn out..... but thats all so stupid front wheel drive.
