I wouldn't want to even ride in one on the street. 1000HP on street tires? Lmao you dead if you do that.

Well..yeah..not saying *I would*..

I'd be nervous riding in anything more than about 600HP on street tires

Gotta think the Shelby is a better inve$tment than a Hennessey HPE 700...with $20g in your pocket, besides...let alone the 800 or 1000...

1000 hp on the street? Nice to have, but you wouldn't need to use all of it very often to make your point...

Apples to oranges

I would pay 100K for a ZR1.

I wouldn't even think of paying the same price for a Camaro.

How exactly is it a better investment?

Probably the same thing that was being said back in the mid to late 60's, it's still just a Mustang. Check the going rate on cars like the 66 GT350, or the 69 Boss. Those were "just Mustangs" as well. It's all subjective and being on a Camaro site, I won't even think about arguing but I will point out the obvious from time to time.

You gotta figure that if someone were to plunk down 100K for this car, they probably won't be riding around on all season radials.

Built in equal numbers, ol' Shel gets more for his '60s Stangs than equal-numbers-built designer-named Camaros...

No way man, same goes for the COPO and the Yenko Camaros. I would NEVER say those are just a Camaro. Z28 can be grouped into that category as well...

This car is going to be the whole package guys. You're underestimating what the chassis is capable of. Think about what this car will be capable of with all the chassis bracing, weight reduction, upgraded brakes, coil-overs along with the HUGE power levels. This is the FGT replacement and I wouldn't be surprised if they happened to bring back the GT500-KR name for it.

That would be odd... from 08-09 the KR was a 540HP variant of the GT500 with a different gear ratio. It wasn't much worth talking about... but this... this is worth some salivating.

Try inputting your data here, for example...

http://www.nadaguides.com/default.as...005&da=-1&c=11

Try a '69 BOSS 429 Mustang (500 built) vs. A '69 Yenko Camaro (how many? Fewer than the BOSS) vs. a '69 COPO 9561 Camaro (NOT ZL1)...

Results?
:

BOSS 429 High Retail = $324,500

Yenko 427 = $291,600 which is a $6,000 premium over

COPO 427 = $285,600

The BOSS and the Yenko (depending on options) listed for about the same, new, while the COPO (the base for the Yenko) would have been a few $100 less.
