What kind of IAT's are you seeing on the dyno in this heat?

My Buddy got his tracking # a few days ago on a Polished Whipple. According to the tracking # it will be here Friday...... He already has the FastLane CAI, American 1 7/8 LT's with No CATS, Pedders Bushing and Lowering springs. We will post some Pic's when it come in.

What more can u ask for? Was 102* F the temp u were seeing with the fastlane, rotofab, or stock air box with the hole cut out? Or did they all provide the same IAT's? (That would be surprising).

Either way, the big Whipple likely doesn't need to work very hard at this boost level, so IAT's stay close to ambient.

The fastlane would probably provide the lowest IAT's during regular driving.

If you guys wouldn't mind sharing what are the engine coolant temps looking like when ur doing back-to-back dyno runs in this heat?

I wonder when Whipple is going to make official release announcement. It still says "Coming..."!
I sent a PM to Whipple but didn't get any response from them.

One last question, then I`ll stop..Fameous last words..Lol...

Did Tim do any tuning after he added the headers and CAI but before the dyno pull?

No problem either way just trying to crunch the numbers.

Yes, the car was tuned after the headers & CAI just to keep everything safe and ensure longevity for John (see John, we're lookin out for ya buddy )

There was a pretty consistent 20+ increase across the board from start to finish. Higher gains in some areas but nothing less then 20 on both HP & TQ

The IATs are awesome w/ the Whipple!
They were about mid 90s the first time around and it was low to mid 80s ambient. Yesterday, with the increase in ambient (mid to high 90s), the IATs were only a few degrees higher. I'd have to say this is one of the most efficient set ups I've seen across the wheel yet and certianly the coolest IAT of a Forced Induction set up. Whats most impressive is that the temps just dont creep up. They start at one temp and move a few degrees but overall, it maintais a nice even temp. A cool temp at that considering.

Now just give me a 4.0 for my 427.

Thanks Dave. I know you guys are. I'm a worrier. Tim is calling me his new wife.

This thing is going to be a beast. I can't wait to see what you do with it with the custom cam and the methanol injection.

FWIW, I spoke to Tim last night and he was pretty geeked about your build.
