Dubai is slightly different and more westernized than the rest of the middle east. Actually let me scratch that. The nonsense you hear on TV only applies to a few countries. Most countries in the middle east are fairly progressive (atleast in the middle east context)

Ya Dubai is westernize and modern they love all people and cultures. Its a melting pot in the Arab world. Very beautiful place in the world
