I cancelled order with dealer. After 11 weeks at 1100 status, enough was enough. I have since purchased a 2LT from another dealer that had one coming in as inventory with exactly what I had ordered. I picked it up last Friday night. It is too bad that 1st dealer's actions took some of the excitement away. I am sure that I will get it back as I drive my car.

I appreciate you input during the last 3 months. Caution everyone about dealer allocation.

Can you tell me if dealers know their allocations a month in advance or how far in advance.

I'm sorry to hear your story, but at least you found a car and your excitement will come back with every mile behind the wheel. There is no way to find a dealers allocation. It's confidential and up to the individual dealer whether they share it with you or not. Congrats on the new Camaro and post pics!!

And FYI, Oshawa has a two week shutdown beginning Monday, September 13.

Your car is at the stripe facility. All vehicles in post production (logistics) are automatically checked every weekday for a status change. The date on your update is the date of the LAST CHANGE and does not reflect the last time it was checked.

Just as a fyi and reminder.
All Vehicles in pre production status 1100 to 3300 are checked once per week for a status change as we track nearly 700 cars at a time. This check is usually completed on Wednesdays as that is the day after the weekly consensus reports are closed out and posted and the most likely day for a vehicle to show a change in the system. Once you have moved to 3400 and are in your TPW your vehicle will be checked DAILY until the vin has been issued. Then it automatically rolls over into the Post Production tracking.
Due to conversion between the Dealer Global Connect and the GM VTIM data base systems we usually have to back date the actual date you receive your vin and your 3800 status. Generally the Global Connect system is one day behind the VTIM system. And of course if you have any questions you can most certainly contact us directly.. Thanks everyone...Larry

The TWO week plant shutdown is only production...Shipping continues as normal. Stripe facility as normal...QC as normal....Expect all cars currently built will be shipped and if not delivered during that shutdown time will be very close to home by the time they begin back into production. A friend of mine ordered a Camaro as well and it's suppose to get pulled today (goes to 2000 status) and was curious.
