Tim should really answer this one. I believe the kit is normally priced between $6500-$6800. I could be wrong though. The kit is very complete. It includes an MSD boost-a-pump, 1 range colder plugs, and a thermostat. All hoses are individually bagged and labeled. It would be an easy install.

That's a pretty big question. Maggie is a roots style blower and Whipple is a twin screw design. Try reading the supercharger sticky for some good background info. The manufacturer's website will also explain the different approaches. Both are belt driven, positive displacement blowers.

Right now the Whipple seems to be maintaining very low inlet air temps. The Whipple is a 2.9L vs the Maggie 2.3L. I don't want to open up the debate over the proper sizing for the motor. There are many 1900 vs 2300 threads for that.

Guys, I know this will make many of the older gear heads happy. Tim spent today working the meth kit. We weren't able to find a set up I was happy with. Therefore we will not be installing it.

Instead we will be swapping the rear differential gear set. We will also be adding a lot of Pedder's suspension parts. No use having the power if you can't control it.

I am also considering the CTS-V Brake upgrade. Any thoughts?

Can you give us anymore details as to why you were not happy with the setup? I am still intersted in trying to put everything under the hood as opposed to the trunkmount tank. Were you able to find a location for the tank? Was Tim able to find a way to mount the pump down by the washer fluid tank? I would appreciate any input to help with my layout. Thanks.

Hope that "older gear head" wasn't aimed at me. I'm not old....just well broken in. Look at it this way, now you have a few more bucks to get the rest of that fantastic ride just a little closer to perfect.

I would pass on the gears if it were me. I would use that money towards better axles or stronger clutch or bigger wheels with stickier tires. Suspension parts are a really really good idea. The brake upgrade is also a good idea. The supercharger that you went with makes sooo much low end torque I just dont see how gears would help. I also have a hard time puting anything in my car that is not at least as strong as the stock pieces and most of the aftermarket gears out right now are weaker units. Just my .02
