We had a total of 76 Camaros that showed up at Classic Chevrolet for Lunch and meet & greet. We by far had the largest group there at TMS. We had 4 1/2 rows

Thank you to everyone that showed up! I know I had a blast, and I hope you did too!
SSE, thank you for your words! It was a lot of work, but totally worth it. Stay tuned for next year. We had, in all, 73 Cars show up at TMS and go around the track, which is by far the largest group they've seen. For everyone going around just once, we raided $2190 for TMS's charity, not including pictures or second-go-rounds! |

Yup, it was great. These photos need to be posted on a new thread. I bet this would make front page.

We wanted to thank everybody that came out yesterday to help support both charities. The Classic Chevrolet meet, 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial, and Speedway for children’s charity were all great turnouts. There was about 75 Camaros, with nearly 150 people in attendance, with approximately $6500 raised total. Thanks to all the Camaro enthusiast who traveled far to attend our events.
Special thanks to Eric and his team over at Classic Chevrolet for letting us take over their parking lot for a couple of hours. The guys at Classic were great and all the food and drinks were awesome!! Love that covered parking!!! Also, big Thanks to Dean over at the 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial and his team for allowing us to be a part of his charity and for helping Lone Star Camaro become a permanent part of the Memorial site. Thanks also to Eric and his team at Classic Chevrolet and all the Lone Star members for helping reach our goal of $3500 for the lighting of the memorial. Thanks to Jonathon at Leo-DJ Music Service for assisting with our police escort by the Roanoke Police Department, as well as DJ’ing the event. A special shout-out to Arrow Lifts for supplying the scissor lift at both events, allowing us to capture some great images and memories. Thank you to my big brother Denny for his great photography.(Pictures on DVD coming soon). We don't want to forget JT 210's Mom & Dad and his sister (Hummingbird) for all their help at Classic. Thank you to the Lone Star officers Jeff (JT 210), Alex (Adub4185), Jamie (Jparnapy) and Brandon (Chevy2tehBone) for coordinating, organizing, and helping things run smoothly. I’m proud of our team and members, we all came through for these great causes. Sincerely, Alan Pedini (Butterfingers) President, Lone Star Camaro Last edited by butterfingers; 09-12-2010 at 12:49 PM. |

We had a great time at the Events! You all did a fantastic job organizing so many events in a short amount of time with the great turn out of camaros. The array of camaros was nothing short of astounding...We look forward to meeting up with you all soon for other events and look forward to this one agian. As Rob said this event is personal in many ways to all of us (from 9/11 to our children) and I appreciate all the efforts your group does, and honored to be a part of it. First time I had actually been at the memorial...will be back soon as my wife is also a commercial pilot. (And show her the Brick!)
I enjoyed meeting many of you and meeting and driving up with the Central Texas group...It is fun watching everyone turn their heads as we go by! Glad we could celebrate your sons birthday CamaroCowboy...That is pretty ... Special thanks to LSC for a great day all-around and it was a privilege for our 1968 to be at the front of the pyramid! That was absolutely an honor! The pics turned out great and my paw in law (you crack me up Rob) still has a huge smile on his face! Still downing the liquids with no A/C.. That's ol' school he says... Hey Kyle..did the A/C ever come back on for ya? Good to meet ya... Paw in law also wanted me to thank everyone for letting him tag along!!!

Hats off to Lone Star Camaro, Classic Chevrolet, 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial, Laps for Charity, Texas Motor Speedway, volunteers, those who donated there services, and all ya'll Camaro owners. Thank You! All those who pulled this together, made the 3.5 hour drive (each way) worth the trip. We had big time. As stated by others before, 9/11 touched everyone in different ways. Headed home on I-45 (just south of Dallas) Fire Department Crews were stopped on several different overpasses with flashing lights on and waving Ole Glory commemorating 9/11. We'll Never Forget.

Busted!!! Gotta weed the girlie shots out before posting!
First time out at the track, gotta say it was beyond cool. I didn't get faster than 90 in the corners, the pack slowed a bit and the pace truck was right on my a$$ so I couldn't lag too long but wow, what an experience. When was the triangle pic taken, after? So cool...
