I've looked for the answer to this question throughout the the different threads and I can't find it anywhere - so I'll ask...

In the four pack gauge...if your ordering a manual tranny, are they gonna hook up the tranny temp. gauge, or, is the gauge gonna be replaced with something else? A temp. gauge on a manual tranny seems kinda pointless. At least, I've never had need of one before.

Thanks. That is actually very close to what I'm looking for. What car is that from? Looks like either an 1SS or 1LT possibly with the RS package.

I would like to see a gauge that measures the amount of envy & jealousy in the surrounding area from the presence of the Camaro

They actually have that. But the light dims the more envious and jealous other people get....

It's the tail lights as you get further and further away.....

I like all the information I can get from my vehicles. I plan on getting a 1SS but it doesn't state that the 4 pack is available. Is it available as a separate part item, and all the models are pre-wired for them?

if i understand correctly all models will be pre-wired for the 4 pack gauges but only the 2LT and 2SS will come with them from factory. you can get them installed for all other models at your dealer through GMPP.

what i want to know is price. when will this be released?

I just looked through the 2009 GMPP Catalog again just to make sure, but I don't think the 4-pack gauges are available through GMPP (at least they're not in the new Catalog). You may be able to purchase them as a regular GM replacement part after production starts through the regular parts counter at the dealership, but I don't know if they would be available as a package or if you would have to purchase every piece seperately (that would be a pain in the @$$ and expensive I bet). Also, I would really like to see some sort of official confirmation that non 2LT/2SS models are pre-wired for the guages. Seems like a lot of additional wiring to be "thrown-in" for free if they are not coming with the guage pack. I do know that my 2001 Silverado was pre-wired for the trans temp even though it didn't come with that gauge, so maybe the Camaro is pre-wired, I can't say for sure.

You would think it would be an option for the 1SS to have them. The 2LT seems to get all the attention from the 1SS. My 4th Gen is a V6 and I really want a V8 this time, but the 2LT has a lot to offer option wise.

I actually think that is a good thing. It helps promote the V6 as a fun car to drive with all the options someone could possibly want in an attractive package. The 1SS is purely for drivers who need the V8 at the expense of many options. I fit into that category. I don't need extra gauges or ambient lighting. I just want lots of power and a roaring note.

They will be all wired. It's cost-effective to use one wiring harness regardless of options and trim levels.

Yep, wiring will be there.

Me too. My first plan was SS2/RS. Depending on cash flow, I may go 1SS -no RS.

I want the ABL, which will be available from GM and aftermarket.

But, I wouldn't buy a 1SS until I had a part number and price for the four-pack auxillary gauges.

If getting a 1SS then adding the RS package at a cost around 1200.00 dollars what more are you getting other than RED SS badges and HID lights? The SS already has a spoiler and 20" wheels. That's a lot of money for basically adding HID to an SS or is there more to the RS package? It would be nice if it includes the 4 pack gauges, but I don't see that the RS has that anywhere.
