I was still pushing 125mph on the straights and braking about the 300ft mark. I feel confident with the NT05's in the wet. I can't speak for cold weather, as I haven't seen that yet with these tires on.
I'm gonna go with the NT05's (275 front/315 rear), Forgeline wheels (20x10 front/20x11 rear). Now I just got to pick the one out I want. I'll check the performance & premier series out. I'm sure I'll get all chrome (Centers and outers?) and see what exposed or hidden fasteners is all about- Is for the lugnuts or wheel assy itself?

Does Forgeline provide matching lugnuts with wheels? Separate? Wheel locks that fit better then GM's?

I'm gonna select wheels tonight or tomorrow.

Great choice!! Now the hard part is picking the wheel style. If you go to Forgelines website and click on Customer Gallery at the top then sort for Chevy. You can see many different wheel options and what they look like on different cars. It is very helpful.

I went with the hidden fasteners. It just depends if you like the look or not. Some wheels look good with them, some don't imo. I did it more for cleaning purposes. It just hides the bolts that would be around the outer edge of the wheel.

I ordered my wheels through a local tire shop. I think they ordered some new lug nuts for me. I would call Forgeline or who ever you order from and they should be able to offer the right lug nut selection.

Good luck with the wheel selection - let us know what you get!!

I decided to go with the Premier Series S03P- 20x10 front, 20x11 rear.
Hidden lightweight hardware, aluminum center cap with brushed emblem. It looks like the inner rim isn't available in chrome so I gues I'll go with fully polished. Maybe not offered because the chrome finish could be easily damaged on the inner rim?

I was wondering how the tire pressure monitoring system would be affected. I really like being able to check the pressure of all 4 tires at once. Since they offer a bracket for the sensor, I'm assuming i'll be good to go. Did you have to re-program the system to monitor tires at a different pressure then 36 psi?

I'm also going to ask about forging internals. Cost, HP impact. May be cost effective to do it now since motor is already apart.

Tim also said that headers would throw codes and probably fail emissions. How is everyone else who is getting headers get by on this?

The SO3P looks like a good choice!! The tire pressure monitoring system is not affected, you will be able to monitor it like stock. The only thing that will be different with the hidden hardware is that the air connection will be on the inside of the rim, so you cannot see it from the outside.

About the forged internals. A lot of the LPE guys here did the forged internals. I think myself and 600 didn't do it. I think if you are going to up the boost past 6-8 psi, then forged internals are a good idea. It gives you a piece of mind and I think it is part of the reason LPE gives a 3yr /36k mile warranty on that package also. I will be going to the forged package and cam sometime in the future, as I am kind of getting used to the power level I am at. If I had to do it over, I think I would have went forged right away.

On the headers. I like the noise level of my car right now without headers. It is my daily driver and I like it that way. If it turns out to not be my daily driver someday and I want the extra power, I may go headers in the future.

Air connection on the inside of the rim? Is it difficult to get to for adding air?

And what about Headers failing emissions- how is everyone getting past that? Failing emissions is the only reason I didn't get headers.

There is a cap on the connection on the inside of the rim. It's not too hard to get to. There is an air filler extension that you screw on to fill it up. The first picture below is with the cap on and the second is with the air filler extension on.

I don't have headers but some states check emissions and some do not. South Dakota doesn't check, so I would be ok if I had them on.

I hit 89 Db on the track 2 events ago.. 91 Db and I have to do something to the car to quiet it down. I'll go without headers as that will only push me over the sound limit.

The state of NH doesn't have a sound limit # that you have to hit... it's up to the officer writing the ticket/judge in the court as to if it is too loud.

My view is that the car makes good power without headers, so I don't need them, as they would cause me grief at the track. Headers are good for a few more HP, but not worth the hassle right now to me, anyways.
