Say what you want about price, value, etc. That's going to be one ridiculous monster to control.

As with any 800hp car. The fun of it would be on the highway really. You could hit WOT in 4th gear and go like a banshee.

Doesn't it get to the point where the thing is almost un driveable? Don't get me wrong.....its bad ass.......but doesn't a stock Gt500 have enough problems getting off the line?

You definitely couldn't do WOT on the stock tires in first or second gear. It would be pretty much pointless. Get a decent speed going though and that thing would be fun beyond belief. You could also always slap some drag radials on there.

A friend of mine took his shelby GT500 to vegas for the super snake upgrade. I believe his is rated at 720HP. I honestly think the car is slower because its like driving on ice! No traction at all and the poor suspension cant handle all that power! It is still super fun, but loses its luster a bit when full size trucks run away from you at a stoplight while you are trying to peddle the throttle to get the tires to grab.

For the price they have in that car I can take mine back to ADMperformance and have Andy do his 1000hp maggy/Cam/etc upgrade and still not have the money that shelby has.

however Props to Carroll shelby for another build when this guy passes on a legend will be missed by many for sure I know.

AWD option would be bad ass!

800hp with a warranty and smog legal for under 100k is a deal for anybody with deep pockets. Its not for me due to the price but its a great option for someone who wants to mod the heck out of their GT500 and have it not depreciate due to being modified or have the headache doing it your self.
