Most Gen5s have such dark tints, I cant see what the driver is doing or where they are looking.

I wave anyway

Live in Clarksville Tn and the etiquette here is to flash your head lights to other camaro owners and either thumbs up or a peace to other muscle car owners kinda like owing a harley and passing other harleys

I used to have a vette and 90% of the time other vette owners waved.... with the camaro I am noticing more often than not drivers are not waving and may even look at me like I'm crazy when I wave... The other day I was driving right beside a C5, honked my horn, gave a thumbs up, and the person just glared at me and then went back to talking on the phone.... I think I'll resist the urge to wave unless I see them wave first....lol

It's probably because everyone has one of these cars, some like it because it's a Camaro, some like it just because it's the new thing, and some just needed a car and want cheap horsepower. I wonder if Nissan Sentra forums have this same conversation. "Dude, I totally parked right next to a fellow Nissan, but he didn't even look over at me!"

I have never ever had another Camaro owner do this to me, I have owned many Camaros and everytime I see another Camaro we always wave or give thumbs up.

i unfortunately have been on the receiving end of this as well a couple of times. Just a dead cold look or total avoidance of looking at all.

Never had anything but thumbs up from other 5th gen drivers. However, had many a mean stare and comment from older gen drivers especially early on when I first got the car last July and mine was one of the first around.

I always wave to other fellow camaro drivers whether it be a v6 or ss. Sometimes I get a wave or nod back but most of the time I get ignored. Go figure.

I think the mindset is changing, when I first got mine last year there seemed to be more of a brotherhood. It was common to wave, give thumbs up or flash the Halo's ... Now it seems any time I acknowledge another Camaro they just give me a stupid look ... Unless it's modded of course, they are always cool ...

I have to agree. The Chally people are pretty cool. I've met some people that I like that drive Mustangs but, most of them I feel my blood rate go up.
