I need a diy for painting the interior of a 2ss - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have searched several times and see a lot of pics but no diy for painting the interior. My questions are do I need to prime the plastic before painting? What is the best way to make sure the abl still shows? I see that they are painted from the factory on the inside. Do i sand the gray out and paint them yellow? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can buy the door and dash yellow inserts No need to paint them

Panels are not that much from us. But I guess that is my opinion...LOL

Yeah finally talked to local paint dealer. He sold me everything I needed for >50$ he gave me great advise on how to paint plastic parts. Going to start tonight with stitching dye then tearing the doors and dash apart! I would rather do everything I can myself. Makes it more personal, if you know what i mean.

Ok on day 3 of mods. I will tell you that the center air vent ring is a pain in the ass to get. Unless you have a team of highly trained spider monkeys I suggest leave it be. Well back to work.

How did the job come out? Looking to paint my interior. I have a black LS but want to do the panels in a inferno orange equvilant color.

Just wondering how much it would cost to have the door inserts and dash pieces painted? Tried sending PM but would not go through.

Dont need to prime plastic parts. Just make sure their clean and us plastic adhesion promotor before applying any paint.
