Has anybody had their AC not turning on when they start the car after the AC had been on when you last turned it off? It seems that the car can't remember that the AC was on when I turned off the car earlier.

Actually, I should have added the AC usually is on when I start the car if it had been on when I turned the car off but, occasionally, it will be off when I start the car.

Its happened to me before... last time was when the car had been baking in the 100+ Texas heat. Got in and cranked up the fan while cracking the windows a bit and the d@mn thing never cooled off. Wonder why lol.

How coincidental! It happened to me today. I got in- started my car and turned the ac on and nothing happened but hot air. I drove off and a few seconds later it started to cool. That was weird and the first time it ever happened.

If you turn your a/c on max when you first get in your car it will take a longer time to cool down. "MAX" means the system is recycling interior air. "MAX" doesn't make the a/c work any harder. The air temp outside your car could be 90, but inside could be 130 degrees! That is the air you are trying to cool when set on MAX. Next time, try to open both windows and flush out all that super heated air and then see how fast your car cools off!
