Tree Sap removal?
Hello,
My landlord built a new car port. Unfortunately, some of the wood used wasn't quite dry and some tree sap dripped on the front left wheel well. What is the best method to remove this. I tried to get most of it off when still wet and sticky, but I felt like I was causing more damage. For now, I just covered it with canuba wax during my monthly waxing schedule. The wax turned white on the spots where the tree sap is still sitting. Will claybarring get it off? Should I use rubbing alcohol? How can I soften it up to just wipe it off? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. |

A clay bar should get it off no problem. I just clay barred my SRT8 yesterday and it worked wonders on the paint. I would go with the Mothers Clay bar kit. It comes with two bars and the showtime detail spray.

I used goo gone citrus cleaner. paid $5 at wal mart. spray it on and let soak on the sap for minutes then wipe off with warm water. sap will remove easily with no damage to paint.

I've used alcohol and it worked great. It was quick and easy...and cheap since I already had it in the house.
