I chose to install the V2 because believe me when you want loud it is loud! When you want to cruise and just feel and hear a nice rumble at 2000 RPM, you have that too! No drone to rattle your ears either when your cruising. Don't underestimate the loudness of the V2. I also like the deep sound. Very happy wiith mine! Like everyone says, its a preference.

how loud is the v2 in person, and do you know how loud the v1 is in person? also how much deeper is the v2 in person than in videos?

@Royal... The V2 is going to have the less tuner sound because of how deep it is. But i want an idle sound to. You and I are in the same boat, ive been going back and forth cuz more people say V2, when i like V1, but i may take my own advice and do what i like and not other people.

@Sterling... The drone on V1 will be a little higher, because it is a louder tone, but for $10 you can buy sound deadner and place it under your trunk carpet and kill about 40% of the tone.. Also Scrming on here made a video from inside the cabin on V1, he used a sound measurement tool and he was still speaking at the same level as normal. Seemed pretty good to me. He even put the radio on and it was perfect. That was with no sound deadner so i would say its all ok

If the v2 is that much deeper than the v1 then I am sold on the v2, I want an idle sound as well but if an idle sound is gonna make me sound like a tuner/ricer then I'd rather go with the deeper yet quieter idle.

I made my decsion by listening to all the different vids with earphones on. My impression was the V2 was deeper. The next person would disagree. Another sway vote for the V2 was Scrmings advice and all the work he put into comparing the two versions. I agreed with his comments of the two and also agree it is a preference. It would be nice to listen to them live as well since vids can be deceiving. I know what you are going through trying to make the decison. Its a hard one. Ulimately you will not be disappointed with either one!

He is on C5 lmao he teamed up with MRT and they used his car to experiment with all the exhaust (I'm pretty sure) he has the main thread somewhere in the exhaust section, the dumb search button never works for me idk how to use it lol but good luck on your choice!! I am probably gonna stick with Version 1... maybe slp version 1.... omg i need to stop and just pick one

Oh haha, I feel so stupid ... Yea the search button doesn't work wonders for me either, so don't worry you're not alone haha. And thanks, I think I'm gonna go with the poll on this one and choose v2, I have been listening to the vids over and over and I like it, I also asked the family. Goodluck to you as well SLP Loudmouth II was another one I was considering.

Well now I'm back choosing between v1 or v2... on the site it says the v1 is louder and more agressive at idle, then it says the v2 has a smoother, deeper tone, and then they say both systems sound pretty much the same at high rpms which seems true. I need help figuring out how loud the v1 is at idle and how loud the v2 is compared to stock.
