This specific one, a 1SS, is around $30K, but yeah, you get the idea.

Agreed - Thanks for everything! That interior really sealed the deal for me on which trim I'll be ordering.

I really like the interior myself... Felt very upscale for the market segment. Lightyears ahead of the rustank I test drove.

I'm a little disappointed in the gauges and stereo setup. I'm hoping there will be small refinements to improve it before the cars hit the lot, although I realize that is a long shot.

One more thing to make me wait until MY 2011 along with HUD, and 3.73 gears.

How close is the SS to hitting the gas guzzler tax? Will 3.73 be enough to push it over? Just something to think about. You can do a lot of gear changing for $1000. Me, I could care less about HUD- I do want the ambient lighting though...

Once you buy the car you can do what ever you want. They can't hit you with the Gas guzzler after the fact.

Good question, but I doubt 3.73s from 3.42s would push it over if it's getting 23mpg already. Anyone good with math hahaha.

Of course not. My question was a why wait for 3.73 gears (if they indeed push you into gas guzzler range) when you can do them yourself a lot cheaper? Or why wait at all, either way, for a few hundred bucks to change them out yourself?

Oh, I see....your trying to figure out GM's reasoning for the gears they pick.

Good luck
