+1 I got two dealers in the area that have at least a couple. But the sad part is that I also have a few pontiac dealers around that got a bunch of G8's on their lots.:( I hate this down economy.

^^ im the complete opposite. the dealers have 1 or 2 challangers. but most challangers are being driven! i swear back in the summer i would commonly spot a challanger driving down the road.

I agree, these cars are sitting on lots. Both the Challenger and GT-R have been sitting on local lots - I'm not sure where they got their "all our cars are sold" numbers from.

you can order anything. but just the same.... you can cancel that order.

we had a ZR1 vette in at the local chevy dealership in town that the guy who ordered it backed out. so it sat on the lot (well, in the garage) for 3 days until another buyer picked it up.... for 45k over MSRP.....lol

also keep in mind that some dealers will "order" cars to put on display and wont sell them unless you are willing to pay bookoo bucks over MSRP.

I sure am glad I know the people very well at the small dealership in my town. I would hate to have to worry about that happening. If I ordered from a large dealer I hadn't ever been to before I'd be worried about this very thing. Of course I would have gotten it in writing that they would sell to me at MSRP. Think these dealers could still weasel their way out of selling @ MSRP if someone had it in writing from them? Like use the same sales guy to do all the write-ups then fire him before the car comes out and say it's not valid anymore cause the guy doesn't work there? lol

everybody knows the challenger is the best car ever built...whats the issue?

Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

GM shouldn't have expected the G8 to sell well. It's selling around 1500 a month, which is where it should be. It really is just a niche car. The Grand Prix sold a LOT more than that...big mistake to kill it off IMO.

Was at a dealer Sat. nite looking, they had 14 sitting on the lot in various trims/colors.

First white one I have seen looked good in that color.

I think you're co-worker added a zero. Does he/she work in the accounting dept.?
