I also agree that the lady was not informed well about the whole pulling of the orders already. The user's on this forum would have been notified by the dealer if their order was already pulled for production and there would be some super excited people posting about it. I have told my sales dude everytime I talk to him to make sure they call me AS SOON as his order guy gets the email from GM that the order is being pulled for production so that I can make sure everything is exactly the way I want it.

Got a question... Did anyone you guys spoke with at GM/Chevy speak fluent English? I have yet to call any GM customer service department and not get some foreign call center. Are you really putting any credence in what Mahatma in India at 87 cents an hour is telling you? Seriously?

Both people I spoke with spoke English as their first language.

However, just because they speak fluent English does not mean they are not completely misinformed, or otherwise mentally impaired.
They seemed to both be unaware that regular production is not scheduled to start until 2/16, and where insistent that the only way the welcome packets with the sketches would even be sent out was if the order had been pulled for production.

Now I'm not saying that I think it's even remotely the case this soon in the game, or that I believe them, since at one point I actually had to say "No, a CAMARO, not a Corvette"

But, what I was told by the people at the Marketing call center seems to be in line with that others are being told as well.

While on the conference call with the people at GM DealerWorld and the sales manager at my dealership, the rep from GM was asked if the people at the Marketing call center know when the start of production is, and the answer was "They SHOULD know..."

So, we either have some call center reps that need to be whipped repeatedly with their headsets until they actually learn to pay attention in the training courses that GM should be having(99.999% chance of being true IMVHO) or some of you are going have a very very nice surprise(0.001 chance of being true)

Sounds like another thing we need some official word on to find out the real info on the sketches.

If it was offical dealers would have been notified. Unless the dealers are stashing peoples sold orders for themselves and not calling them user's would have been made aware of their ordering being pulled for production. That's why I can't believe that it's true.

no letter yet gm is very unorganized next thing you know the people who ordered first are gonna get there cars last nand people who ordered last gonna get there cars first

This is truely amazing!!! The short rally stripes didn't stir this kind of emotion. This is at least on par with the reaction to the ABL issue. I'm calling my congressman!

I talked with GM last night, they directed me to the dealer. I talked with the dealer last night, they called me back today and directed me to GM marketing. I called them back, and they apologized for sending me to the dealer...

Basically, they requested I give it another two weeks to get the second letter. She stated due to the holidays they are running a bit behind, but rest assured all the letters will be sent to those who have pending orders.

I believed her. It seems she pulled it up in the PC and confirmed her script before we hung up. I will wait. No worries here...

If this is the case, why don't they all have the same story? This 2 more weeks has been going on for 2 weeks already.

Besides, why are people who have recently placed orders already getting this Welcome Kit. The first ones in should have been the first ones to receive this. Not the other way around.

It's a FAIL anyway it's looked at. Just like the ABL issue. Nothing is being said to deny or confirm anything or give us any supporting information or answers.

I'm done with this til something shows up in my box or someone posts something official with some action that can be taken to resolve this issue.

Did we ever consider maybe the obvious? Are they sending them out alphabetically by last name? I'm "M" and in that case I obviously wouldn't expect mine in the beginning. Or by State? NY isn't in the beginning of the alphabet. Maybe this is a lot simpler than what we're reading into it.
