This is semi-related to this thread but one time I went to fill up my Infiniti G35 coupe and spent 10 minites trying to get the gas cap open. I had never had problems with it before. Finally I realized that I had locked the car doors. So, you cannot open the gas cap in the G35 w/o unlocking the doors.

Actually it was a BMW thing first, that was later incorporated by other manufacturers, it definitely makes sense.

The window index happens on the second pull, the first pull only unlocks it.

That's how I figured out the source part of it. I had been reading the threads about the settings and was fully prepared to have to set it when I started driving. It wasn't always reset so I started paying attention to when the setting went away.

What version of software do you have on your radio/PDIM? DX?

This works both ways...going up or down.

The power lock button is below the radio, owned the car 6 months before I found it. Also the radio has several menus dealing with the door locks and various other features. Basically, do not abuse the radio.
