Not that it was a good idea I held camera phone while going like 80 had it ready to click when i got to top speed I actually had both hands on wheel.Pretty dumb thing to do but I have been known to be stupid with my toys lol. It was in the desert in the middle of no where on the way to las vegas that was somewhere in Arizona. it had more but I felt 145 was enough it felt stable just didint see a point in goin to 155 I know it will. I will never go that fast again on a public road it was a novelty thing to do just wanted to do it once and have the experience not everyday I have a flat road with no cars for miles.

So top is 155 if you test it on a stock SS, I'm seeing 167ish on a few. What is the real top without the limiter? Have heard 170 and change. Almost worth a diablo just to answer this question!

I did 125 and it felt like i was doing 65. It was one of those lets see if I can hit triple digits, well I was watching the road and not the speedo, looked down and saw 125. It was incredibly smooth and felt like the car was built to go that fast and much more.

Sarcasm man, the roads I travel are 2 lanes, no 75 mph speed limits around here the only thing I go on are 55 speed limits w/ a lot of state troopers who love to look at Camaro's and it SUCKS!!

Does your car always run that hot or only briefly when you first start up and all the gauges do their full sweep?

Besides unless your car is modded The SS's all top out at the same speed, the LT's top out at the same top speed ,and the ls's top out at the same top speed which is the rev limiter.
Every morning I smile on my way to work as I hop on the highway and punch it to get up to highway speed. How fast? Well its fast enough to put a smile on my face which is all I care about.

On the way to Ramstein on the Autobahn, I hit 125, smooth as silk. Might try for more when I head back to Italy at the end of next month.

I've seen it go up to 118 once in Louisiana on a backwoods interstate 49 stretch.

But I would personally never go over the allowed maximum limit per the law.
