Remote start will not start the car if your check engine light is on. Also if you start it with remote start and open your hood, it will shut the car off. You can turn the car off by pressing the remote start button as well. Remote start shuts off after 10 min and can be restarted for an additional 10 min after that. After 2 cycles you must put the key in it to reset the system.

I was thinking it would be an actual version number. I had it on USB and held the menu button for 5ish seconds.

If there is another way to access the version let me know.

BT works within a area around your car. Something to consider if you have a significant other in the car while you're on the phone outside it.

Lol I knew about the area because someone called me when I was standing outside the car and it took a second to figure out why I wouldn't hear them. I have to be honest, I hadn't thought about it from that perspective.

Good to know...

When you lock the car remotely, press 'lock' twice to activate security immediately. If you press 'lock' once it takes 30 seconds for the alarm to activate.

When you open either door, your window automatically comes down about an inch then rolls up when the you close the door.

I first discovered this when I was at the dealer getting it serviced and thought I lost a call only to discovet that it also scared the service tech when he started the car only to find he was NOT talking to GOD only the person I was talking to.

If you push/pull the blinker lever and release before it clicks, the blinker will blink just 3 times. Good for lane changing.
