We are lucky in one regard. This isn't the first DI engine out there. I've got a friend with a Mazda Speed3 and we've got it to over 20psi. I'm learning a lot.

If you make more power, you are going to put more stress on the components. So the quick and dirty answer is yes, it will have an effect.

If you make more power, its more likely you are going to shorten the life of items like the clutch and the transmission.

It does all depend on how you use the car. If you don't drive hard, then overall the car should last like stock. If you are at the road course every weekend, you don't want to know how many parts we replace.

Wow wtf? 20psi is like the amount for boost addicts LOL. man, I hope when i get FI, i won't be so hooked on adding more boost o_o. Isn't the STS turbo like only 12-16psi? 20 on a Mazda3... which I assume is a 4banger lol... crazy kids

lol, I agree... I'd probably ending up driving the guy pretty hard. It's already hard enough to keep my foot from nailing to the ground with just the Exhaust and Intake. Because in a sense, you know there is so much more beast in the car, and you aren't letting it out when you drive carefully =D LOL... I'm not condoning speeding... you should never speed, but Im sure most of you guys know what I mean
