Opinions are like.....

Seriously, you are gonna get a million of them. Doing some searches and a whole bunch of research is where it's at.

I'll give you my .02 worth. Maggie! They have been around forever, used as stock components on the vettes etc etc

I have one on mine. Obviously I dig it! I wanted low down/midrange/instant grunt so it was an obvious choice.

You won't reach 500rwhp unless you do LT's, some exhaust work and pulley down. As well as being able to get at least 93 octane. Otherwise you're gonna need meth/water injection to get there....

In Cali we have emissions nazi's so I have to stay with shorties and only get 91 octane. Didn't feel like doing meth this time around (was a must running 15psi on my RX7) and I ended up with 480rwhp & 507rwtq on 8psi on a 80 degree day.

Here's a tease:

Well I can leave you with this. My car with the maggie made 550/550, ran a best of 10.55 @ 125, got 23.5 miles on a 1k road trip and still had the stock L99 in tact. All we did was a blower and a little meth. You now know what I would reccommend.

Im not goin to do any meth...2 dangerous for me... Ima do a supercharger, cam, lts, exhaust,cai,tune... so that should put me in my range...and the cam isnt goin to be big so i should be okay... and ive read alot of good things on the maggies...also alot of members have them on their cars as well...so im kinda leanin that way if i dnt go whipple

Go maggie! Great kit, service, and reliability. They were pretty much the first out and no problems recorded! All other kits took longer and some are still not out and if they are they are not highly installed/recorded on this site as the maggies which means there are probably tweeks being made or the numbers are what they should be. Every maggie install thread starts with excitement and ends with consistant numbers even with different tuners. Other setups start a build thread and often do not have numbers/finished information just sayin!

Well, using meth isn't dangerous at all. Its an insurance policy on your engine but thats your call. Now if your going to cam an L99 are you doing an LS3 conversion or just getting a VVT cam? Big price difference between them.

Without doing a DOD delete I am not sure a cam is going to give you much gain. You would get more out of meth and more boost.

I had it done by livernois. But I must say also that I have seen more threads with DIY maggie installs than any other and I have seen complaints about other s/c tunes but have heard that maggies canned tune is great for just throwing on s/c and going! Like I said when you hear more about a certain s/c and its all good and see not as much about other s/c's then you begin to wonder

One of the biggest reasons that you hear so much of the Maggies is they were the first to come out. Which means if you wanted a S/C last year, like I did, your choice was already made for you. I can't even imagine how many got the maggie bc thats all that was out there. Its a great product but all the blowers are. You won't be dissapointed in any selection. Whiteside customs and Texas Speed has some good VVT stuff. I touched base with them quickly last week before we decided to do the LS3 conversion.
