You should move to the U.K.
I live in a town on the South Coast with a population of well over 100k and i own the only Gen5. Not aware of one in the next town either, that has a pop' of 290k. Yee Har!That makes my car pretty bloody COOL. |

I live in a mid-sized metro area in southeast PA - 45 miles east of Philadelphia PA and see a 2 or 3 a week, not bad.
Sometimes it bothers me not having a unique car and seeing another on the road - sorta like that weird feeling like if I was a chick at a nice dress party & seeing another woman with the same identical expensive dress (as i am typing this i pull down my bunched panties in discomfort - excuse me - uhhh humm). I never had this identity crisis before with my 3 past fun cars, as they were all brand new Mustang Cobras (96,99, & 03 terminator) - and I always felt cool with them, even if the only difference was the cobra badges and the un-torquey 32V engine. But hey, i figure, the more Camaro's out there, the cheaper and more plentiful the aftermarket performance market for the 5geners - and then it ALL makes sense to me see more Camaro brothers on the ROAD ---- (I still hate the fact that Superchargers for the Camaro SS still cost $6k+ when all my prior Ponies were 1/2 that to add or upgrade like the Terminators from Roots to KB or Whipple Twin Screw.) and life goes on..... I still only see one or two per week, still get stares, and people come up to me and talk about the car.
Never thought this would happen a year later.

I love it when those that wanted to be different buy a Camaro and end up being the same as everyone else and then they whine about it. Should have bought a Pacer X. Nobody else I know of has one.
I don't care. We got one and we love it. I encourage others to go buy one and love theirs too. We bought a pair of 2002's for cripes sake, after they'd already made the style for 10 years. It certainly wasn't because it was unique! (although I do own the very last F-body ever to be pictured in the St. Therese assembly plant's newspaper- I guess that's unique enough for me). If it's clean and sharp, I don't care what year Camaro it is, or what engine or color. I do prefer some over others, but they're all friggin' cool to me.

You must make an incredible salary at a car wash...or is that just the side job for you going through college when you will make 100k yearly...

I don't understand the problem..I live in Orlando and can promise I see more than most of you in a day. 5-8 a day is not uncommon for me...I am happy I see them and wave whenever I can...but that is compared to the 100 mustangs I see in a day and of those 100 maybe only 2 who have really worked on their ride as far as after market and daily care...the other 98 are staring at MINE...this is a popular car, but it still snaps heads...and if you see many, the community is growing and join a local camaro club...it also means GM did this RIGHT.
You could be driving a horse ass ugly car that struggles to sell 1k a month...then you would bitch about that. This car is in it for me for the long run, not because I do not have money to go out and trade it in for something in 5 years, but because this is my BABY and will probably be the last car I go all out for as far as options and after market work... Last question...if you are happy with it...then who the f cares? The thing that pisses me off is how many camaro drivers I try to strike a convo with at a gas station who won't talk to you, don't care that you own a camaro too and think they are hot shit because they dumped 19k into a V6 (no I am not a V6 basher), but not because they LOVE how bad ass the V6 is and produces 315 hp...no....they bought it because it looked cool in a movie... Enjoy what you have or trade it in and move on...anyways, sorry for the rant..it wasn't necessary directed at you OP..some of the more fickle minds I have dealt with here in FL.

I never see Gen 5 Camaros in Carmel, IN. It's super rare when I do.
