Chalk up another trophy for the C5 gang
I attended the Coopers Plains Car show today in the Painted post area. 148 Entries, 56 cars in the 1980 and newer class. I competed against a two week old ZR1 corvette along with a White Rousch Mustang that shows all over the state. Most of you have seen this I am sure, it is one of 46 ever made. There were 4 very low mile Shelby mustangs to include a 2003 with 2,900 original (never seen a drop of rain) miles.
I am happy to say that my newly PEDDERIZED baby took it all. I took best in class. I think the Corvette owner was a little upset, but I think the judges realized he did nothing but buy it and drive it to the show. I was very surprised with the results and it felt good to be able to compete with some of the big guys as this is only the second show I have ever competed in. I have attached a couple of photos to including after I left the show, myself and a fellow member drove a few miles to Watkins Glen International Speedway (paid $25.00) and was able to take three laps around the track. If you have the chance it is a BLAST!! Better than any amusement park ride I assure you. I was able to really put the PEDDER suspension to the test and had a blast. Their set up was incredible! P.S. Not sure of the next race to be held there but if it is televised there is a VERY dark "S" shaped burn out at the start finish line, that should still be there. I thought I should autograph the track for the club.
