Only the LS and non-RS LT are limited to 118.

I have a 2LT non-RS and do NOT have a 118 limiter. Trust me I know. It has to do with that I have the 2 LT with 19 inch wheels.

Hey where's the neat stuff, like why are the cup holders different sizes by a 1/4", no keyhole to unlock trunk, side mirrors have a large bevel on the outer edge, why are there so many cargo net hooks, where's the status lights for the rear sensors that was to be on the package shelf, where's the footwell, courtsey, glovebox lighting, what happened to the filler panel from the top of carpet to the dash/heater vent area, never saw a latch and striker plate on doors in these locations.

FUN FACT - Doors automatically lock after driving like 50 feet or so.

QUESTION: Do our doors automatically lock after exiting the vehicle if we forget to press the button on the keyfob?

This also works for the sunroof, if you're equipped. First click vents. Second click opens all the way.

I think this is something GM is doing on lots, if not all of their later model vehicles. My '07 Sierra also has this feature, as well as the blinker feature.

Software update? This is great info!!! What version is the latest version? I'm assuming the dealer has to do this update? Can anyone give me more info on this? PM me if you like. Thanks!!!

I do not believe so. I think you must lock them.

I could be wrong, so someone feel free to jump in here, but I think the doors lock after you go over a set speed (10 mph?), not necessarily a set distance...

Wow what a list:
  • why are the cup holders different sizes by a 1/4"
    • McDonald's / Burger King ??
  • no keyhole to unlock trunk,
    • Got the key fob and the button on the door (do we need more?) What about the passenger side no key hole there either.
  • side mirrors have a large bevel on the outer edge,
    • Yeah found that strange, my 2005 Suburban does not have that gap around the edge.
  • why are there so many cargo net hooks,
  • where's the status lights for the rear sensors that was to be on the package shelf,
    • I was wondering that as well on my 2011 2LT
  • where's the footwell, courtsey, glovebox lighting,
    • Yeah kind of dark.
  • what happened to the filler panel from the top of carpet to the dash/heater vent area,
  • never saw a latch and striker plate on doors in these locations.

My 2011 does not have the little GM badge on the lower front quarter panel behind the front wheels? Is that the same for all 2011's?

I think you are correct, I think you can set it to lock when it goes into reverse or drive, Or once you are up to speed (10 mph?)

I can shift into second gear and then the 1-4 indicator comes on the DIC. Its a game I like to play with the car. And I beat it out 80%-90% of the time.

Yes, GM stopped putting them on around the 50k mark for the 2010 MY.

The automatics are much more fun to drive in "M" or "sport" mode
Thanks for the starting tip, I didn't know that. Works great. I guess that was setup that way so they could do a keyless start system.
