Look into a procharger. Do some research on it and see if you like it

Not really sure but all i can tell you is that the kit comes with a intercooler so the pipe from the manifold runs down to the intercooler and back to the procharger. I would say thats why it comes out the back of the procharger. Anyone can correct me if im wrong

That CAI coming out the back seems a little weird to me but i can understand y it has to be that way because the pipe goes dwn to the intercooler

Personally i would go the Whipple route, but thats just me, as that is what I`ve bought. Not installed yet waiting on it to arrive. For what I want to do its the best option. Stock internal L99 most power per pound of boost since IAT`s will be the lowest and will allow more aggresive tuning due to this, power comes on early compared to centri`s, but since you can`t spin L99 lifters it will outperform the centri`s in this config. The otehr reason is once my stock motor goes bye bye, hopefully not for about 3 years, I will build a boost freindly motor that the whipple will make much more power than a maggie could for big power. But thats just my opinion, and quite frankly until I prove it as such is just an opinion and not a statement of fact...

You're going to get a lot of different answers to your question here.
What it boils down to is you ultimate goal and use for your vehicle. Understanding where you want to end up would help us better get you set up. |

How U Doin?
|
I ordered the Whipple myself and it's being installed next week on my L99 as well as Comp's stage 1 cam. I'm also having my heads ported. I'd researched all of the superchargers out and I liked everything the Whipple has to offer, but like others have stated, the Maggie is a great blower and it will probably be more than enough for the power range you're going for.
Here is a pic of my Whipple. |
