My question is.

Would Fresno people be willing to take the 41 south to I-5 and join at that intersection?

Would Modesto people be willing to take 32 West to I-5 South and meet up around los banos or wherever 152 meets I-5?

Sacramento people could probably just take I-5 all the way south.
And do bakersfield people want to take the grapevine with everyone else, or take 58 to barstow and south 215 to cabazon.
Realistically I think it'll be 13 hours for the people up north. I like to over-plan and be happy when i get there early

Depending on how bad traffic is going to be. Norcal could also take 58 if it's faster/less of a hassle.

Or possibly stockdale so my father could see all the camaros rolling by his house. =)

the major problem with taking everyone through the 58 will be the stoplights on Rosedale (or Stockdale).
But there will definately be less traffic through 58 and 215. Another thing to consider is, we might have other gens with us (ex. red dragon), and the grapevine is a PIA for the older cars.

That would be cool.
I don't know if you guys are going to want to gas up in bakersfield, and if you want our small group to meet you at a certain spot. Like I said, Chuy's on Rosedale has plenty of space, and so does Target on Stockdale.
Or you can just do a roll by and we'll join in the group.

I'm not too "friendly" with the pd, but I have proffessors who can get me in contact with someone as well.

ok, I'll speak with my dad about the possibility of the escort, otherwise we'll figure something out.

I'm fine with either the Grapevine or 58 but agree the 58 will be a lot less traffic however getting everyone on the 58 together is going to be an endeavor in and of itself. I can get in contact with the owner at Chuys if all the Nor Cal people wanted to meet us here in Bakersfield at the Chuys...as stated they have more than enough space for us all...then we could all take Rosedale down to the 99 then get on the 58 from there and straight shot down...shouldn't be too bad in theory. Just let us know Nor Cal guys what you are thinking because as stated, if we end up with a few older gens going the Grapevine can be rough on the older motors.

LOL, jk jk

I second the motion to nominate Ronin as the videographer for the convoy!

I wanted to chime in on two things:
I hope we don't have to leave at 6am....I'm not a cheerful morning person!
And I'm glad u guys are thinking ahead about rest stops....when a girls gotta go, a girls gotta go!

I object !!!

If he can't, I'll make a call when it gets closer.

If we go 58 then we can meet Sac near Tracy (I-5 and 132) and go across 132 to Modesto and on to Fresno then Bako. I-5 would be out of the way for 58.

There's a few lights on 132 but I can get those worked out.

let's say we want to get there at 8 pm.

6 hours to get there from so cal
-2 hours to get there from bakersfield.
-2 more from fresno
-3 hours to scramento and bay area
-30 minutes gas up at blythe (a lot of cars to get gas).
That would mean that the sacramento group would have to leave at 6am.

I think we'll be fine if we get to pheonix at 9-10pm
I don't know how you guys feel about this or if maybe you guys have taken this into consideration but do you guys really want to drive thru the 10 at night?

1) its harder to stay in a group at night
2) harder to drive at night ( lots of mistakes happen)
3) harder to spot cops at night especially since its going to be alot of camaros going one way.
4) truckers usually travel at night so it will slow us down more and we run the risk of losing each other.

thats just my .02
