I Received A Different Letter From GM

I just called them to, Yesterday and today

I asked if my order is in the system and they said yes they have it.

Then i asked about my welcome packet yesterday and they said they will check on it and why i didn't get my packet yet. So i called them back today and they said they just got an update. I will be receiving mine in about 2-3 weeks they said. So i will be receiving it soon, better late then never i guess

Seems like there is some misinformation around somewhere, a lot of people are getting a lot of different answers from the call centers.

We could sure use some official word to clear up the confusion caused by the call center reps..

Kinda makes me wonder if they are using these people to man the phones.

THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON IF THEY DID WE WOULD ALL GET THE SAME ANSWER ONE PERSON SAYS ITS GOOD NEXT PERSON SAYS WE GOTTA CALL THE DEALER THEY TELL US TO CALL BACK ON THE 5TH AND 6TH SO THEY CAN REISSUE THE LETTER THEN ON THOSE DAYS THEY TELL US TO WAIT ANOTHER 2 WEEKS THEYLL BE COMING THATS ALOAD OF CRAP IF THEY DONT KNOW THEN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT THEY SHOULD ATLEAST HAVE OUR NAMES IN THE SYSTEM THIS IS NONSENSE I CANT MAKE ANYTHING OF IT IF THEY KNEW ANYTHING OF WHAT WAS GOING ON WE MIGHT ALL BE SATISFIED BUT ONLY THE SELECT FEW HAVE RECIEVED LETTERS FOR WHATEVER REASON THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES WE ARE PUTTING OUR MONEY DOWN ON A CAR WE NEVER SAT OR DROVE WE JUST SEE PICS BUT WE STILL ORDERED IT SO WHY CANT THEY ATLEAST BE MORE ORGANIZED AND SEND EVERYONE THE LETTER

Nope Jeff. Nothing here either. I, like others, don't really NEED the letter. It would just be a nice to have to include with the other paperwork (window sticker, paint chips, etc, etc). If I don't get it, no big deal.

I also called today. The lady that I spoke with was worthless. She said that they cannot see ANY order information until the car goes into production. So it seems that just about everyone that calls gets a slightly different story. I didn't ask about the letter today though. I just wanted to see what they would say about the order status. I did call a few days ago and the lady said call at the end of this week and they will investigate why I didn't get the letter. It would be nice if at least we were all getting a similar story.

Yes, I recieved the same letter, Red Camaro with my order date and order number on the bottom right of the picture. I'm new to the site so I'm sure I'll ask a few quetions that have already been asked, but here goes.
Has anyone noticed that the air scoop is missing from the production camaro's ?

First off, what date did you order? Also, did you receive a 1st letter BEFORE this letter you received w/ the red Camaro on it?

I think Angela (350 HRSS) and I are about to mount a small posse to head towards Detroit and find the people on the other end of the phone and see if we canz make zem talk! LOL

A lot of us are just looking for some reassurance in the matter and secondly, we want the documentation that we feel we are due to keep in our records for the future. This car may never be worth a dime more than we pay for them, but it will mean more to me to be the first owner and be able to show people 10-20-30 years from now where we come from and went to in this process. It may never be like the first gens are now, but we don't know yet. Only time will tell.

I was a little disheartened when I read the post about people getting them that were "Friends, family, etc". Why would they even tell someone that?

I hope that we will all receive our letters shortly, and be able to move on comfortably to the next level of this joyous time.

Reality is that it's only an issue because we know about it. The 9500 other people who ordered that aren't on this (these) sites have no clue about letter #2. They'll be happy as pigs in shit when it shows up and they won't care if it's 6 months after delivery.

The people putting the car out, aren't involved with this as I'm sure you know. I do believe it's being done by a 3rd party because the website the letter tells you to go to is on Campbell-Ewald server, not GMs.........
