The 'scoops' are rear facing for heat extraction, not air inlet. The air flowing over the hood creates a low pressure area at the openings plus the air in the engine bay has a slight amount of pressurization due to the air coming in the grill. This draws hot underhood air out. Just look at the late model Shelby GT500 for a similar design - and it works very well.

Thanks for the updates.

The LSA engine IS correct, however, the horsepower will NOT be 556, that's all I can say.
Afterall, we want to exceed the GT500, not pace with it.

Well then , we will have to put my SS up to the GT500 ! I cannot do the 556 HP, I actually got 546 RWHP on the Dyno! I was preying for the moderately strong 500 ish HP when Camaro was first prototyped but never we mind. I will have to stay with my SS unless I move it on up to a 500 HP Z06 or ZR1 ! That's not cool though.......I think when I get my CEL dilema sorted out I can go look for a GT500 ......it would be an interesting race!
