They are wider. The factory stripes aren't wider than the cowl.

Stumbled upon this thread and the other thread you guys were in.. guess I can't be a "member" yet since I don't have my own Camaro (waiting for the day my 9 yr old car is too old to move or when the Courtesy Chevrolet radio ad on KGO brainwashes me).
Just want to say the meet looked damn cool and wish I could have driven my own Bumblebee there. Probably won't take too long for me to give in and get a new car -- been seeing Camaros everywhere.. a blue one and a green one in SF Chinatown, a blue one driving up 101, a yellow one (with the stripes!!) in Burlingame, then a silver one parked right next to me at SFO plane watching, then a red one downtown SF... it's calling my name.......................................... |

You're more than welcome to come out to events even if you don't have a camaro yet. So long as you have an interest in the car, you're part of us. =)
Welcome to the forums,

Mindz Silver so nice of you! Thx. Yeah I drive a CAMry they do make them pretty good. I have close to 120000 miles on it. Been wanting the Camaro for a while, I even have the first song to play in it - "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" - ready! For now I'm playing it in my half-a-Camaro. Thought about getting it as bday gift to myself but the closer I get to my bday (two weeks away) it seems the more frugal I get.. or stingy.. or CHEAP! lol. Just haven't convinced myself to dump the Camry. I have a question for you guys. I was reading a thread about registration/renewal fees. I paid $72 renewal a few months ago for my car. I know the price of the Camaro but whats the true cost of owning it? My heart aches driving over bumps n potholes. I can't imagine nicks n dings on a Camaro. Is there like.. an "emotional toll" associated? From the threads it looks like it.. bleh.. input from local yay area people? Oh and this is straying from the thread topic, so umm.. message me. |

ouch.. it will go down eventually but man that stings..
I am officially hopelessly in love with the car - yesterday, I went plane watching, a black Camaro pulls up, I scrambled out my car with my CD, went up to him and said with a great big smile "Hi! this is a strange request but can I sit in your car and play one song?" he said yes I sat in I listened to the song I wish the car was mine

*ahem* Peter I think? When I'm overly excited my brain malfunctions I don't even remember if I thanked him I'm reasonably sure I did because I'm reasonably sure my manners didn't go out the window... Think I said "Thank you, that was awesome!" when I was about to get out of his car.
If you happen to know a Peter who owns a black Camaro living somewhere in the east bay ask him if Serena thanked him
