but are they there just for the time being that the cover is on?? Or maybe reduced when the cover is off?

Can anyone tell by looking at the pulleys how much boost they are running on this "LSA" configuration?

No disrespect meant by the way.

Do you guys honestly think that GM isn't going to heavily revise/upgrade the suspension components as well...you know, to actually take advantage of the additional horsepower?
Won't mean much to me without a motor that can take upgrades to push / hold 700+HP like the LS9. As I previously stated I'd sooner spend the same amount in over all cost on building up a 2010 2SS/RS with superior forged internals for more power and longevity as well as mod my suspension than buy a way marked up Z28 (warranty or not) with a couple cosmetic differences and a weaker engine. If the Z28 comes out with a nonforged bottom end LSA, I will not be interested. At that point, a used 2010 with mods is a viable option imho.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me or does the front bowtie have a "28" on it?

Praying for a fully forged bottom end and small supercharger. Very satisfied with 475 to 500 hp. I know GM will do the right thing. For the folks who mentioned the LS8, that motor makes perfect sense. Read the article in Left Lane News....pretty interesting to say the least.

But it needs to be a legit player STOCK with the GT500(make it a drivers race pretty much) and make mincemeat of the 2011 GT.

They need to make it hardcore enough so the hardcore guys will go for it, and make it honestly better than a Corvette Coupe(at least in my opinion) but less than the Grand Sport.

There's a lot of marketing that has to go behind this because if they eff it up they will kill sales of another car.

I have to disagree with this because the new C7's are coming in 2013 and along with that ,Z06 and ZR1, so I wouldn't bet on that theory. Just my two cents.

The guys with CTS-Vs on cadillacforums.com are already doing over 700 crankhp with the stock bottom end.

z28 should be a 11 second car no doubt. A CTS-V like mine runs low 12s with probably 400 pounds of additional weight over the Z... 650hp will be no problem. i just added 100 more hp with just a pulley swap and exhaust change

the main reason I see to buy this is for the warranty. if you want to mod up a SS go for it you will likely get more power out of it but if you break it you will pay for it.... and while some of you maybe can afford to do that not everyone can.
