yes the Z is NA!! so your observation is pretty much useless. PS if you read up on the G8 (shares same chasis) its twisties handling was compared to a 3 series so im gonna say the Maro will be fine

Yes, but your comparing apples to oranges. The cars and customers are totally different. the 370z is a 2 seater sports car, the camaro is a 2+2 sports coupe with a uselable trunk. Compared to the 370Z it is very pratical. As far as engines the camaro V8 makes about 100 more hp and 150lbs more torque. The handling will probaly match the 370Z, and it will probaly be faster in a straight line. All that with the ability to carry your freinds in the back seat and groceries in the trunk, which is what the 370Z cannot do.

still we are comparing a 6 to an 8 not a proper comparison so our six is outclassed!

Then do that. The 370z has a 3.7L v6 outputting 322hp and 269 lb ft of torque. The 3.6L V-6 DI VVT outputs 300hp and 273lb ft of torque. Not all that much difference and the Camaro gets better gas mileage despite weighing significantly more. If you're going to compare a car as a whole you cannot only look at the amount of cylinders and say they are the same class. |

UCF woot you are not understanding it is the only thing you can compare because these cars are not the same one is a 2+2 sport coupe the other is a 2 seater its apples and oranges. So the only valid comparison would be engine to engine!

It is not!! The cars are different. the Camaro is 500lbs heavier because it has a back seat, trunk, and stronger chasis for more powerful drivetrains. If you want to compare apples to apples then compare the 370Z to the 2 seater and more powerful corvette. The are the same class of cars. In other words with the camaro you are ignoreing the combination of performance and practicality it offers that the 370Z does not.

And I did!!! Look at the HP and torque output. They are rather similar even though the 370z's engine has larger displacement. And not only that but the engine is MORE EFFICIENT.

no your incorrect the vette would not be a proper comparission because it does not offer a V6

That comparison UCF is the only valid one on this whole post you proved my point. We are comparing two different cars and trying to see the difference , if GM actually had a two seater coupe to directly compete then it would be a fair analysis

What? I proved that GM built a better V6 engine as it has higher torque, only slightly less HP, and better fuel efficiency while having a lower displacement.

car and driver tested it at 4.9 couldnt find their 1/4 mile # but insideline puts it at 0-60 in 5.1 and 1/4 at 13.4. the camaros numbers are better no? thats the straight line story. in the turns I think this would be a fine match up however only in price are these cars similar. and we really should not be comparing them.

Yes but it should have had more so these comparisons would have been valid the V6 should have pulled at least a 5 sec 0-60
