rpm = 312hp ??

at what rpm does the v8 make 312 hp ??

those are the numbers for the V6 not the V8

I just went and looked at a dyno chart for stock HP, and it occurs from around 4000 to 4300 RPM. This will vary with the LS3 vs the L99.

There are a bunch of posted stock dyno charts...

Bare in mind these are rear wheel HP charts, so they are making that much at the flywheel substantially earlier...

GM has engine dyno charts on their website: http://archives.media.gm.com/us/powe...a/10car_us.htm

It looks like its right around 4050 rpm for both the LS3 and the L99.

torque = (hp x 5252 )/rpm
torque = (312*5252)/4050
torque = 405 ft-lbs
