We are building a convoy out West to head down and Char and i are talking about a side trip through California and up the Pacfic Coast Highway back up it is going to be at least 10000kms. Perfect in my eyes. Char drove the car down here to Vancouver for one afternoon cruise with me last month 2600 kms round trip. We had a blast. Sorry for being so long, but you have to try.

WOW... I'd love to do that California Pacfic Coast Highway #1 with you guys. Did parts of it years ago and it was awsome. The fog off the ocean got so bad they had to close the road and detour us inland. Don't miss the Redwoods... and Oregon's coast is awsome as well!

We should set up a Bull Run to the CF2, how fun would that be... set up meet points in various cities, pickup new members and carry on....

Yeah we feel the love too. But Phoenix is still a NO....:(
As for Punta Cana We'd have to book on our own because we need to leave from Montreal. We're looking into it, but in all seriousness I don't think we'll do that either. We'll see....

C5F #2 is out for me as well. I'd love to go, but as an instructor in academia, my vacation is in the summer. All requests for extra vacation time during student intakes is outright denied (and laughed at). Rightly so, considering we get 8 weeks off in the summer.

I'll reserve my driving time to head back to Oshawa for BBOMG 2011. From Calgary to Oshawa is around 3500kms, so it definitely adds up. I don't mind as Camaro fans from multiple websites show up. Very cool.

I'm actually surprised at the pressure some are putting on people in eastern Canada to go to C5F #2. 4200 klicks one way is a helluva drive. More power to you if you're willing to go and have the time, money and stamina to do so. Most people, I find, aren't able to. If you're a C5 sponsor with product to sell... well, pretty obvious why you're going.
