Thumbs up New Camaro test mule spotted in US for first time

UPDATE: FIRST TEST MULE WITH ACTUAL CAMARO BODY HERE:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1814

Here's the first spotted Camaro test mule in the U.S. The only other mules spotted so far have been in Australia. This shell car is a middle eastern market Lumina SS (a rebadged Holden Commodore).

Previous pics showed the mule under a Holden badged body but these show the mule under a Chevy badged body.

This shell car is a middle eastern market Lumina SS (a rebadged Holden Commodore). The Lumina SS from the middle east is actually a 2-door coupe so the two doors here are only camouflage. The actual mule underneath has a shorter wheel base and lower roofline.

What is the exact definition of a Mule again?

testing the chassis or platform? Motor? (doubt it, or they would have told us the powerplant)

I ask because the wheelbase on the above picture looks short to me. What are everyones thoughts on this car?

Are we sure this is the mule??? I could swear I saw this same car in another article and it had nothing to do with it being a Camaro mule…

Haha! Same here...I was thrilled to get that e-mail! Glad I have my work e-mail linked to the site, or I wouldn't have seen it for days.

As for the mule...that's awesome, I would have never in a thousand years guessed that was a hidden Camaro. how did someone figure that one out exactly?

To me it looks like a "re-badged" G8 mule, not a Camaro mule. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/07/i...he-pontiac-g8/

For anyone with questions, here's the link to the site with those pictures, and the accompanying article.

It sounds to me like they're just guessing as well. Their "evidence" that it's a Camaro is that the rear doors look fake and the chassis sticking out the rear looks like the Bumblebee. Let's not forget that the Bumblebee was actually a GTO with a Camaro body and not an actual Camaro.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is or isn't a Camaro mule. I assume that someone who makes a living taking spyshots of vehicles would certainly know better than I.

The onlt thing that makes me think it could possibly be a Camaro is the shortened wheelbase. I dont think they are going to make a 2dr G8, but I could be wrong. Im totally digging the trailer hitch, my dad used to tow a big boat(when I was little it seemed big) with his 85 Z28 lol.

I agree, I don't believe this is the Camero.I know for a fact as of a Month ago there were no plans for a Camero mule this year.
