Rusty really does some quality work. The shop is S.M. Motorsports. Their primary business is building custom motorcycles. So he has all the equipment for making custom tubing that you need. He's a gear head, so he'll work on anything.

The resonators were a little too wide for where we needed to fit them. Rusty solved that by cutting a small portion of one resonator and then welding the 2 together. Both lines are still separate, so there is no cross feed. The resulting weld reinforces the x-pipe and takes the strain off of it.

I've been really lucky to find some good folks through this forum.

I really need to address traction. I currently have Pedder's coilovers, swaybars, subframe inserts, BMR trailing arms, and BMR adjustable toe rods. I really need a decent wheel and tire package for the street. What do you guys recommend? What other mods would you do to improve traction and launch control?

I would run Nitto 20 inch o nthe street since you drive it pretty often the 555 drag radials are decent in the rain unlike any other drag radial. you can put them on stock rims. They will still spin but not like the street tires and like I said have decent wet traction for everyday use. Then I would have a set of 18`s w/ some mickey thompson drag radials for track use. You will need the sidewall and stickier compound for the power you are putting down through a mn6.

Talk to you soon.

Look at my post #484. And yeah with that much power I would think axles will be a must. Clutch too if you dont already have that.

For my next setup, no more headers and open exhaust.
True that. I can live without the smell of unburnt fuel and the noise that comes EVERY time once you get over 2000 rpms. Just defeaning sound.

John, I hope you are loving your car. It must be so much fun to drive. Especially with all of the cool suspension mods that you have done.

the exhaust looks interesting but I'm concerned with having extra pipe next to my trans/ motor. it gets hot enough as it is already. I maybe thinking about cut outs latter on the road.

The helmholtz pipes don't get hot. They are for sound only. But even after the vehicle runs for awhile you can grab them with your bare hands.
