NO! All pre-orders were assigned a workbench number. Until dealers have their consensus in February, we do not know when we will receive a car. GM said all dealers will have a 2LT V6 by late April or early May as an "extra car". Then another V6 will automatically be given to all dealers as part of their allocation. If your dealer is a small store, they may not have a V8 until late in the year.

Another point GM made was that the dealers are the one who need to control "sold orders" not GM. If they would not have made this fictional pre-order program, then there would not be a lot of mis-information. I can put in 100 pre-orders and it means nothing if you don't have allocation.

For some the delay is no BIG deal, but for a GI returning to the states and needing a car to report to his duty station, this is a major issue.

GM shot themselves in the foot. They failed to manage customer expectations, we've been told for months now that all is well. Of course most of that was from forum FAN's not real GM reps. I fault myself for believing that and passing that info on to my son.

That's what I'm planning to do...Hope they have it ready by October...

Production Date moved back to mid-March??? If that's the case, I'm gonna have to cancel my order and look into something else. My Denali goes back March 15, 2009. I was expecting my Camaro to arrive in March. A week or two with an extra car or a week or two sharing a car with my wife is OK, but a month??? I dunno about that. I might just have to reconsider the G37S Coupe, Audi A5/S5 or BMW M3. I don't want at Corvette or 370Z, only 2 seats. I'd love a GT-R, but they're way too expensive already and dealers are jacking up the prices even more.

This has nothing to do with "poor management" If you don't have some interior parts because of a company fileing for bankruptsy, that is not GM's fault.

I know from my end if it gets pushed to far into the summer I will cancel my order. It will be in the garage for the winter starting the begining of October and if it looks like I will only get 2 months out of it because of further delays......blah blah.........sorry GM my preorder is dumped......I will wait for regular production, discounts and GMS and a spring delivery or purchase so I can enjoy it over a full late spring/summer/early fall. That is why I ordered it on the first day of ordering.........Have to wait and see what they say or do next ......This car is not a need for me but a want.....

"Check"....your move GM...still waiting. But can wait much longer.

My guess would be the same as what they previously were since they don't appear to have been mentioned in the IDL as changing.

Not that I'm saying this is good news. But, we knew this was the case from the get go. We were told that order delivery would be based on dealer allocation. Again, it's not good news, but it isn't new news.
