So it could even go all the way down to individual trim levels? LS 1LT 2LT 1SS 2SS ?

Not to rub it into ANYONE. But those of us that are the 1st or 2nd V6s ordered at our dealerships will probably be the only ones in the country driving around in Camaros this spring. That'll be absolutely CRAZY.

I feel bad for the V8 buyers that'll have to wait for fall/winter for their cars. That truly sucks.

Man, GM made you guys take down the video? WTF.

Why would a company want to stop the one source of info that isn't just speculation and confusion? Not giving us the straight goods from the getgo is what has the people on this thread mad as it is.

Land of the free, my ass.

i agree completely. i was going to say something a lot earlier in this thread but wanted it to die down a little. While I obviously wouldnt turn down my current order I feel really bad for everyone else that ordered their V8 in october, expecting to have the car before summer.

that said i cant help but to be a little excited knowing i should be one of the first.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. in the EVS vid at about 1:15, the dude mentions each dealer will get "at least" 2 within 6 mos, one from the dealer's "estimated production guide number" (what does that mean?) and 1 assigned to them! The assigned one (within 45-60 days from production, which implies that the 2nd from their "estimated production guide number" will be 60-180 days after production) will be either:
1LT in Black
1LT RS in V. Red
2LT R. Yellow
2LT RS in SIM

So, since I have a 2LT Rally yellow RS, on "order" out of my dealer's six allocated, they will get one of those 4 first for their lot (not included in their allocation) and I would not get the second "production guide number" unless they were allocated a 2LT RY with RS by GM?

Sorry some others mis-represented.
No Gm didn't advertise these facts to customers ordering, in there own literature intended for the customer! What gives. You cannot put the all the blame on dealers, I didnt get my info from dealers but from gm published docs from gm.

Haha. I saw this announcement at school today and just knew that when I got back from hockey, this website was going to riot.

So yeah, it's delayed. It'll give them time to perfect the ABL.

The way I see it, either make it perfect or don't make it at all. GM needs this car to be flawless.

Hang in there folks...they're working hard to get your cars to you.

And hey, at least we know when the vert's coming now. That was up in the air for a while.

OK...Now I talked about this back in October but got a cold response. The Order Workbook...Has a color Exterior/interior "Recommendation"..by the Camaro Marketing Team.."strongly Reccomended" by Trim Level..I read that as if you want a 1SS "at Launch" to order a CGM with grey cloth int.(I did)..now check the workbook, but i think it went like this..2ss black/iom int...2LT i think was red jewel/beige int..and so on...soooo was I right in assuming that if you wanted a particular "trim Level" "at Launch"...to pick what was "Recommended"?

This is why GM shouldn't receive a dollar from the public in the form of a bailout. You have thousands of people wanting to buy loaded V8's that cost upward of 45k. People are choosing them over the imports and GM wants play games. Fu** GM. See you guys in hell or the unemployment line, whichever comes first!
