Couple of things

If there are 10,000 + cars ordered and most are 2SS I would guess that it will be better than a year to get them.
The dealer here said they thought they would get 5 cars total for the year and they don't even know what model or color.

how many cars are planned for build this year?

I have a 2ss/rs/siver ice on order whats the difference in exterior looks over the plain 2ss?

My problem is I need another car, and soon. I have been patiently waiting for this car forever. My 10 year old Honda is on its last legs. If I am one of the ones that has to wait until Oct or the 30% that gets pushed into next year I will be forced to get something else. My dealer is small, he was told he would get 3, I am number 2. He was estimating me receiving mine in March or April. I will be disappointed if I have to settle for another make of vehicle that I do not want when I really should have bought another car a year ago. I waited, b/c I like the car, and b/c I wanted to support GM. I am one that tends to "vote with my feet" or in this case, my wallet.

Problem is, so was everyone else's dealer. If you have a V6 you might be one of the lucky ones. If you ordered a V8, NO WAY will you have it by April.

In the end its not just the worry of my own car, but all this time its being delayed... with competitiors like the new Mustang (which sells plenty of V8s), the 370Z (which is priced at V8 level), the Challenger, at dealers now? They are screwing themselves....
Have them pay interest on your "loan" to them. I ordered day 1 with no deposit. Hell, I was 2500 miles away, I faxed my order to my dealer. Not a penny over MSRP either.

Good question, I remember hearing that GM wanted to sell something on the lines of 80k+ cars per year.
Seems kinda hard to believe that they want to sell that many cars, yet are saying there will be a huge issue making, or making available for sale 8k or so SS's.

If this turns out to be the case and GM decides to make roughly 10 times the amount of v6's over v8 SOLD ORDERS allocations/constraints or not, in the first year, well that sounds like GM is giving us a big'ol FU...

Now this is going to sound like all I care about is me... I ordered a LS. How will that play out compared to the LTs or is it moot?
And to the person posting as

I AM LEGEND

When do you think Rick will put Ritchie in?

Said it is still considered and being looked into - but no immediate plans.

Thanks. And I know you said there was "no new news" about ABL but what did they say about it? Just that they're working on it? Where does it officially stand?

Seeing as it's an EVS video, and GM asked them to take it down, maybe you should ask the EVS staff if they want it linked up for viewers to see???
