so basically your friend let the soot bake on the tip, for who know s how long and now is having a hard time getting it off.. that is certainly a very different picture than what you painted at the start...

Wonder if if something like Easy Off Oven Cleaner would work...

Lol your friend let it bake on and then you're claiming that's MRTs fault? If you let bird crap bake onto your paint and it etches is that a GM paint defect? Exhaust tips build up soot- all of them. If you just wipe them out with a little soapy water each time you're finished washing the car it comes right off.

Worst arguments I've heard since Tradosaurus was here.

If you actually want to fix it rather than complain, use some 0000 steel wool on the insides with some Adam's APC. Follow that up with a good metal polish, I like Mother's.

Alright, great... and this system is 100% legal correct? all the have to do is cut out the mufflers? The cats are still there?

I also see this at the MRT website.... "This MRT Version 2.0 Axle-Back Exhaust (91A177) will fit the 2010 Camaro V6, RS & LS Models. MRT also offers a 2010 Camaro SS Axle-Back Exhaust System."

I know I might sound really paranoid but it is going to fit my 1LT right? Just covering all my bases before I order...

Yes, the cats are left intact.. you simply cut out the stock mufflers... And yes, they will fit your 1LT....

2.0 is great! I have loads of folks commenting on the mean V6 sound. PS, the 2.0's sound a little deeper after I installed my K&N CAI two weeks ago! Scrming, did you notice a different tone when you installed your Injen CAI?

Yeah, sorry, I have to say, your friend screwed up his own tips then. I had soot on my stock exhaust, i have soot on my new exhaust tips too. Just wash it every or every 2 car washes, and it will come off. I use a soft brush for my tips, and Adam's All purpose cleaner. Looks beautiful everytime =)

shouldn't have any effect on smog tests... most of your smog is handled by your cats

OH man.....the name tradosaurus made it into this thread

So is "Pulling a Tradosaurus" an official camaro5 forum term now, whenever someone says something absolutely outlandish?

I just installed the MRT V2's today. Took less than an hour. Sound great...but no, I hve no video camera,,,sorry. They are quiet at highway speeds but sounds like an Indy car when at WOT.
