Do the Wild Horse Pass Hotels have something against Camaros or was that even an option???
Wild horse is definitely an option. but we felt it would be better to get out in town a little. Also rumor has it they don't negotiate as much due to their proximity to the track. And we were a little cautious about a 300 car cruise on reservation land... I'm sure our choice could be criticized for many reasons but the Marriot came highly recommended and has really worked with us on the rate. as you all have seen.

However the biggest reason is we wanted a spot in Chandler where there are multiple hotels within walking distance. So we can all socialize on Thursday without having to drive from one place to another. Just kinda walk the strip from spot to spot.

I sent off some back up hotel info to Chris and he's currently getting all of that worked out.

Some of the back ups that are being looked at are literally within walking distance of the main hotels. That will make it that much easier for everyone. I'm sure when Chris gets the chance, they will be posted up soon. We have some time seeing as though these are not completely sold out yet. Should be soon though!

Thanks again, Chris!
Working it!

Just made reservations at the Courtyard. When I reviewed the room amenities, the Courtyard had 32in flat screen TV's, the Fairfield had 27in TV's (Fairfield did not clarify if it was a flat screen and of course they didn't show pictures of the TV). Yes, I know... but I have to have a BIG TV.

When I just made reservation at the Courtyard, I made it for 2 rooms. They said the rooms are going pretty fast. All the King rooms were gone in less than 24hrs. I was lucky enough to get 2 rooms together.

I still have a backup reservation at the Wild Horse that I'm trying to figure out what to do with. That hotel has a few advantages over the host hotel (4 restaurants in-house, tons of parking + parking garage, security, lack of proximity to the Fashion Center Mall). Without the group rate at the host hotel, the Wild Horse was about only $19 more per night. With the group rate, it's a no-brainer to stay at the host hotel (44% less per night).

My biggest concerns with the host hotel is the limited amount of parking (245 spaces for 215 rooms?) and seeming lack of overnight security.

Anyone know if we can get access to the parking garage at the office building next to the host hotel?

Do you really think anyone is going to F@#% with a car that hundreds of people will run out to defend?

Just turn thr flux capacitor on overnight. That should take care of it. Think they had security last year.
