What I came up with is available but it is like 190 in parts, which I know is Way Out of Line.

Makes the Bag sound attractive doesn't it.

We are Still exploring Other Options but Getting Ready for the LSX Shoot out has tied up Most of Our Time.

I fell out of my chair when I heard the price of all the components that make up the remote fill tank.

The TRIC mad around 10 RWHP on the dyno, but when it rained, the filter got soaked. This did not cause any issues for the first year or so, but eventually where standing water and more torrential rains came in CA and other states, we had three hydrolocked incidents within one month. One was likely fraud, but the other two were friends, so it is unlikely they were lying.

We immediately discontinued this intake and converted back to an underhood version which was a hot air breather, but safe from rain.

Hydrolock is real, but does not happen very often, but like unemployment, nothing is more depressing. The other issue is that, aside from the hydrolock risk, the filter self cleans during rain storms, and guess where the dirt, grime and mud end up?

I would not recommend using this with our intake, but some folks never drive in the rain, and for those guys, this would be a sweet mod for sure, but 10 more HP can be gleaned through tuning, and is a lot safer.

Maybe ADM has some test information they could share in this regard that would refute what I think. I would be glad to listen to their side.

Yeah.. I had a March RamAir on my 98 GT and hit a puddle that was more of a moat than it looked... I can verify, by way of the dealer that I pulled up about 0.5 Gallons of dirty cold rain water through the entire intake system, right through the MAF, in through the TB and right in to the nice hot cylinders.. Annihilated a piston, put a hole in the wall from debris, destroyed the con-rod and fractured the crank.....

Thankfully, my auto insurance picked it up as "flood damage" since the storm that caused it was so severe and I got a nice, fully paid for, new turn key engine in that car.

I'll likely never have a low intake like that ever again unless it's put on and taken off at the track... I didn't intentionally hit that puddle as fast as I did.. I was turning in to a parking lot and about half way in to my turn, some jerk comes flying around the bend so it was either I gunned it in to the parking lot or be T-Boned... I chose the former and nailed a deep puddle head on, nose down.

I may have missed it but was this testing done on a L99 or an LS3?
Looking at the numbers I would assume LS3. Anyway for those who wonder what the L99 with just the Cold Air Inductions will pull, with no tune, no after market exhaust, just stock with the CAI here are my Dyno numbers from this past weekend. There were quite a few people present and most of were impressed with my numbers.. I know results will vary.. But here are mine anyway. Was about 75 F outside here in Houston. This was at the H-Towncamaroclub dyno day at Advanced Racing Dynamics here.
No Scoop.
