I own a whipple as well. Everyone here should realize that any canned tune from a supercharger company, regardless of brand, will be based on a stock camaro and will have a wide safety margin. If you do anything else, you will need a custom tune. The point being made that this is something unique to whipple is incorrect. I will say this, the whipple on a stock vehicle with a 4 inch pulley makes a ton of boost. I did a blower cam, headers, and a 3inch exhaust just to bring the boost down to 7-8lbs.

So, do you think this Whipple is making more than 8 psi?

If the only other mod is headers and it is an LS3 than yes. I don't want to speak out of turn, because we know that there is a pretty wide tolerance on these vehicles. I also have no idea of the baseline on this car, so I could be wrong.

I know I have a blower cam, headers, 3" cats, and 3" exhaust with a 3 7/8" pulley and I am between 7-10 psi.

Either way, I am glad to see more of these getting out there and LS motors making big numbers.

yeah kb also runs the 4in pulley or could be 4 1/8...can,t remember...but running wot i have not kept a solid 8 boost wot...i usually flick back and forth between 7-8 wot with stock manifolds...so if whipple is using similar 4 in pulley , i would assume 7-8 boost

Boost increases progressively with rpm with any SC. I am about 7-8 psi until about 5000 rpm. Once I get above 6000rpm, I see a quick climb in boost as the blower spins faster.

does Whipple offer a rear cog set-up, for some more noise?

I know what you're saying. I wasn't trying to get you to commit to something about a car that you haven't driven.

KB by comparison makes 7-8 psi, but closer to 7.5 in my experience with a stock 4.00" pulley. With headers, it dropped .5 psi, down to 7 psi.

Our SC has dual sets of gears instead of a belt system. Noise is typically a bad thing, as its usually vibration.

Who is the contact out there at Whipple? We have another customer interested in one of your SC's.
