In all seriousness?
The LS3/L99 will have a far, far more muscular exhaust note when opened up, and will sound worlds better. Check into MBRP or Corsa. In the Challenger world (I know..I know) they have great reputations and give a nice boost. If you can afford it I think you will be happier with a full, proper cat-back exhaust than just a muffler delete, I know I am going to be. Best of luck! you have a badass car. |

![]() You spent $30K plus on a car, buck up the $800 bucks. I had the muffler delete and though it sounds GREAT at start up, idle, cruising and minor accellerating, it sounds rough and unrefined under hard accellerating and with the mass amounts of decell popping. Now, I put my OEM back on, then added headers and an x pipe and its still too quiet. I am going with the Flowmaster. I love the deep sound it offers. As for the two videos posted. The orance car has LOTS of mods. Cammed Camaros with headers and exhaust do sound AMAZING but thats a lot of bank. Your looking at $4000-$6000 or more once all said and done with the tune and everything. The white car sounds like ass. Sorry. Last edited by IROCanSS; 10-09-2010 at 09:21 PM. |

Why all the hate for a muffler delete? I've been listening to most everything out there via youtube and the plain old muffler delete with a Magnaflow resonated x-pipe sounds plenty good to me. Of course, there's a big difference between a youtube video and hearing it in person I'll bet.

I have heard about every set up out there in one way or another. Trust me the muffler delete is NOT the best. I know its all personal taste but I think the Flowmaster with a set of headers offers the best american muscle car sound. None of the high pitch rasp, just low, mean rumble but you HAVE to hear them in person prior to making your own judgement. |

UMMMMMMMM. NO. People are just mad that they wasted money on exhaust. Muffler delete sounds great! I'm not sure what your comment has to do with pride. You still have to look at something hanging from the back of your car. The rest of us spent money making it go fast. |
