Mine wasn't jumping for joy over the price but she is fine with it. She will be due for a new ride when mine is paid for and she can get what she wants.

I am one of the fortunate ones as well. My hubby is just not into cars. I made him so nervious taking my Camaro to the store (where to park it, watch out for the curb, fingerprints on the paint, etc) that now he gets nervous driving it. He likes his dodge Ram which works for me.

What he doesn't understand is modding. He can't understand the obsession (and I've done very little anyway), he thinks all cars are better left bone stock. I did show him some Vossen wheels and he liked them until I told him they were $6k!!! I've asked for a new exhaust for about 6 months and I'm thinking I'll just go out and get it, then beg for forgiveness.

Talking DO I LOVE MY CAMARO?...hmm?...let me tell you a little story...

As some of you that have seen me on here already know, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, my 'HWAY STR'...

My husband and I bought it last year for each other to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary...however, I get to be the daily driver!!!...

MY husband occasionally drives it on the weekends...he also is the one that keeps it clean and shiny for me too...

We bought a '95 'little red Corvette' 4 years ago, and I owned a '76 Firebird many years ago, so I have always been a fan of cool cars...

I didn't think it could ever get any better than the Firebird or 'Vette, but the Camaro is all that and more, to 'this blissfully happy, ecstatic, elated, permagrining, getting younger again every time I drive it, FANATIC'!!!...

I have actually been trying to get my husband to buy another one like others have done on C5, so we will have 'his and hers' Camaros...

I am the one that goes to all the car shows and cruises and meets most of the time, with or without, my dear, sweet, amazing, husband...

If you had told me last year when we got this car that I would be on a car forum, talking to, and meeting up with fellow 5thgen Camaro enthusiasts, I would never have believed it...

This Camaro, and all that goes along with it, makes it the best and happiest car I have ever owned or driven IN MY LIFE!!!...

I guess you guys will say my husband is lucky that I am a 'car girl', but I am the truly blessed, and very lucky wife, of the best man in the whole wide world...he is my husband, but also my best friend too, even after 31 years of marriage, and being together for 38 years...(don't know how that could be, since we must have met each other when we were in diapers...lol...)

Here are pictures of the two of us taken last year on delivery day - 5/19/09.....

Well, I'm also 6'3 and found it uncomfortable and too many blind spots to make sense in the long run. We also have a minivan but that is no fun to drive speed wise, however it is now what I have to drive as the wife gets the Venza. The van also has tons more features than the camaro did. You can only go so fast anyways. The Camaro was a 2010 and so is the Venza. 6 yrs from now the Venza will be worth more anyways. The Camaro was only the V6. Maybe one day when the kids move out and I want to act young but be in my 60's, then I will maybe get another Camaro. It was a fun 18 months. It was #4300 made. There were alot of paint peeling problems, now they will be someone elses problem.

As soon as I told my wife that I wanted one, she started talking about how we needed new furniture, etc. She didnt seem to mention that when I bought her a new car a year earlier. My truck was 10 years old with 245,000 miles on it. I needed something new and loved the looks of the Camaro. I just said screw it this time I am doing what I want. It just sux that she kinda killed a little of my joy.

Like I always say, "a womans place is in the stove".

well, everytime we had a money issue arise, she would blame me and my camaro. She kept saying we should not of gotten it. Now if we are tight on money, I can blame it on her new Venza. laugh

No problems!

Now that it's modded, she prefers to ride, instead of drive.
