i know this has been discussed before but i would like to ask it again.
let me frist say i live in MI, and we do not have inspections. and its not that i am worried about. how much louder will it be with out cats. compared to with cats... i have a corsa cat back, i know this will be a loud setup. i like loud

it will be louder w/o cats...but you're also probably going to get more drone. Also, you're not going to pick up much more (if any) power over hi-flows. The exhaust is also gonna smell worse. Not worth it IMO...unless you ONLY want it loud and don't care about anything else.

Without CATS it is very loud and drone is loud. I know drove PQ's car around for 2 days. Sounds mean as hell but would drive me nuts all the time. Makes me think of just doing hi-flow cats down the road and forget the headers.

That is usually my recommendation. There is really no extra power to be had by going without cats versus running high flow cats. Maybe 1-2 mid range horsepower.

Personally, I don't know what the whole fuss about smell is all about. My bud has a Mach One without cats, and unless you are right behind the car you won't even notice it. Most people on here say that no cats doesn't affect the sound much, but in my experience it is incredibly louder, and the tone tends to be more raw.

I have had no cats and high flow cats. I like the high flow cats.

like the way it smells without cats. And no cats give more of an aggressive sound imo

only difference is without cats the exhaust is more of a raw sound. with cats it just smooths it out a little. Oh and you may smell the exhaust a bit more but i doubt it, i havent noticed it without cats.

I just got no Cats. Sounds good. As far as smell I think it is just part of the new still burning off. They were super easy to install. If are a wrencher I recommend doing it yourself.
