CAI which one?

Ok getting a V6 LS next month and already beginning to plan my mods. 1st up is tint which I can have done for less than $200 which is great I think. I would do it myself but I just dont trust myself to do it. It took me 2 different invisible shields just to get it on my iPhone correctly lol. Anyway the next one I would do is either exhaust or a CAI. Which CAI would you all recommend? K&N? Air Raid? Any help is appreciated.

I read up on the injen and I believe its the one where the wheel needs to come off and the wheel well cover as well, correct? Or was this just on the V8 ones as I think most of what I read thats the model that the mod was performed on. I really dont want to have to go thru the trouble of taking the wheel off etc I just want to be able to pop my hood, take off the old one and pop the new one on.

you don't need to take the wheel off. A lot of people didn't have to, including me. But yes, there is more involved in the install. If you don't want to do that, then injen has a short tube that's available, but i'm not sure what kind of numbers it produces. many people go with the Airraid V2 and have heard good things about that. Same with CAI inc intakes.

the threads man! You are going to be the one driving the car, so you want to pick your own mods. Be independent!

I ordered my CAI Inc, CAI from Apex Motorsports (on this forum), send a PM to Chase, he can help you out.

My install took just a little over an hour and did it myself (woulda finished in an hour, but I didn't have a heat gun - only a blow dryer and it took longer to shrink the tubing).. Silly girl anyway.. Good luck.

I got K&N, super easy to install, u can get 1 for about 250. Injen will get u a little more power, but ease of install goes to k&n

I also want the K&N, i like the Injen because of the power but i like to be able to see the air fliter when i pop the hood. Also i always had K&N on the Corvettes. So i will stick with that. This is the one i will be getting: http://www.autoanything.com/air-inta...A1915A0A0.aspx
