Just finished the footwell lighting!!

Ok so I decided I wanted footwell lighting but I didn't want to spend what.. a hundred bucks or more on a kit? So I spent 20 dollars on parts for this. Yes, twenty dollars. They are ccfl tubes, and I have used these before and have had very good experiences with them. They are wired to the factory light switch and dimmer and come on with the ambient lighting. Start to finish install time, 40 minutes. No wires showing, Couldnt have gone more smoothly

Here are two pictures, One turned all the way up, the other is dimmed all the way down. Let me know how it looks!

It cost me $8.50 for the lights themselves, Then I just had to buy some 14 guage wire and connectors. I got the lights from Fry's, They are the ccfl tubes for making your computer look all spiffy. I've used these before and they last quite a long time and are bright. And for $8.50 for lights, and NO visible wires, just can't beat that. Maybe one of these times ill get to show you guys in person so you can see how its run

From the factory light switch. I went to town with the volt meter. You tap into the black wire from the harness as well as the solid yellow wire from the harness. Black is negative, Yellow is your positive. i used tap splice connectors so it wouldnt damage the factory harness. Ill post pics later today along with all the parts and ill throw together a DIY
