Reason I did not get the high spoiler was because of this reason. If I got it, the car would have to get body work done and if I did not want body work on it, the high spoiler would not fit over the factory one (not that I would do such a dorky thing ). I would hate to have body work on a new car. To me it feels like having to do surgery on a baby. Both are unimaginable.

I am going to get the high wing spoiler on the SSRS. But why can't they just not put the regular spoiler on it when they build it and put the high wing instead?

If they can't, then they need to offer a spoiler delete

I would like to delete the spoiler on my 1SS when I order. I hope GM releases the RPO codes for deleting equipment.

Please Tom Peters!!!

To think that we SS and RS buyers must loose this look because of the spoiler. The trunk lid transition is totally lost when the car has a spoiler. Please give us the ability to get our cars without the spoiler so we can enjoy the initial styling of the car (even the kid in the photo likes it better).

You know, I'm starting to get behind this spoiler delete Idea. It seems to me that GM could make this possible with little complications. No new parts, no training, Just an option in the computer to not install it... I'm thinking this one makes sense and could be easy. Now, there may be something I don't know. But, on the surface this makes sense.

I'm for it. I may merge this with an existing thread once I find it.

This was mentioned as being under consideration in the IDL. No decision as yet.

I say sure, why not? Those who wish to add aftermarket spoilers would need to have a non-spoiler decklid on their car, that or all aftermarket suppliers will have to engineer their product for factory hole locations.

Another thought would be for GM to allow the customer to "add" a rear spoiler on a 1LT or 2LT model without having to order the RS package.

i personally would like a Spoiler Delete option (especially if it adjusts pricing) because i want the blade/dovetail & don't feel like paying for a spoiler that's just gonna sit in the attic or somewhere like that.

I like the spoiler options and even though some might not care for the shark fin much, if your Camaro is stolen in the first year, OnStar can locate it and slow it down for police rather than have it ruined. I'm an OnStar supporter.
